Acorn accredited for SEQOHS

We’re proud to announce that Acorn has officially been re-accredited for another 5 years of SEQOHS.

Our initial SEQOHS accreditation was awarded in February of 2012, we were then re-accredited in 2017, and now again in 2022.

What is a SEQOHS Accreditation?

The SEQOHS Accreditation Scheme has been developed by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and assists clients to identify OH providers that supply safe, appropriate and effective, quality services.

This Accreditation is committed to the ongoing process of quality standards and improving and sustaining high-quality care for workers. The accreditation is designed to benchmark the standards for occupational health and Occupational health physiotherapy services.

What does the SEQOHS Accreditation allow Acorn to offer?

With our accreditation, we are able to offer services, and to be recognised as providing a ‘safe, effective and quality occupational health service’.

Notes from the Report

“Clinical governance underpins all service delivery, with good clinical leadership and a very good training regime….

Robust management, processes, and audit cycles ensures optimum service delivery, whilst maintaining excellent customer service…

An innovative service who are forward thinking and strives to meet health needs. High standards and good practice are evident, and this has been acknowledged in the congratulatory outcomes.”

Actions, recommendations, and considerations are normally noted within a SEQOHS audit, which notes areas for improvement for the business. However, Acorn is very proud that no areas of improvement were identified for our services.

Special Congratulations

The report also noted special congratulations for specific areas of Acorn occupational health, our services, and our processes. These included:

  • Robust online system used for audit, which shows good evidence of the ongoing audit cycle and continued management and governance.
  • The service provides an extensive, robust training programme for all staff members, ensuring optimum development opportunities for the team as a whole, congratulatory.
  • Excellent management system of equipment storage, all equipment is kept in cupboards with photos of how equipment should be stored on each shelf on the outside of the cupboards. This along with the robust servicing/calibration matrix is congratulatory.
