Neurodiversity Services

Neurodiversity is an increasingly important consideration for UK employers. It is estimated that around 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent, meaning they think, learn and process information differently. This can include conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia. Despite this prevalence, many workplaces are still developing their understanding of how to effectively support neurodivergent employees.

Creating an inclusive environment is not only important for meeting legal obligations under equality legislation, but also for enabling organisations to benefit from the diverse strengths neurodivergent employees can bring, such as creativity, innovation and strong attention to detail.

At Acorn Occupational Health, we support employers through management referrals. These assessments help organisations understand how neurodivergence may be impacting an employee at work and providing practical recommendations to support them. We also work with a Neurodiversity Specialist, who can offer more in-depth services including specialist assessments and tailored coaching.
