Sharps and Needlestick Injury Support

Needlestick and Sharps Injury Support

At Acorn Occupational Health Ltd, our top priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals who experience sharps, needlestick injuries or blood splashes. Immediate and appropriate response is crucial in mitigating risks and providing comprehensive care.

Sharps injuries, commonly referred to as needlestick injuries, involve wounds caused by needles or other sharp objects such as scalpels and broken glass. These incidents pose significant risks, particularly in healthcare settings. This is due to the potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens like HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.
