Vikki is a proud Yorkshire lass living in Staffordshire and as the saying goes ‘You can take the lass out of Yorkshire, but you can’t take Yorkshire out of the lass’.
It was during her childhood in Yorkshire that she developed her love for football and started supporting Barnsley FC. This passion has led to Vikki playing for various teams including Port Vale Ladies. She played in the women’s FA Cup, and coached and played in Birmingham, the USA, and Canada. These days though, she spends most of her time with family and her 3 boys – still finding the time to watch lots of sport!
“I graduated from University with a First-Class Honours Degree in Sports and Recreation Studies and have had some varied jobs, from working with recovering drug users in the Prison Service to teaching Baby and Toddler swimming. I have also had a book published!”
Vikki’s current role at Acorn involves engaging with our clients and carrying out Health Surveillance as required. In addition, she is the Mental Health First Aider for Acorn and Manual Handling Trainer.
